Jim Morrison and Bill Frost founded the firm in June 1975 upon completion of Mr. Morrison's service as the Riley County Attorney and Mr. Frost's move to Manhattan. The firm originally was located in the old J.C. Penney's building. In 1975, the firm added an office in St.Marys, Kansas. In 1979, Rod Olsen joined the firm as partner. In 1991, the firm moved to its current location on Poyntz. In 2002, Bernard Irvine became a partner. Katie Jackson was hired as an associate attorney in 2003, and Kitra Schartz joined the firm as an associate in 2007.

The firm is a general practice dedicated to providing quality legal services to local government, businesses and individuals. The firm has offices in Manhattan and St. Marys.
