Katie is admitted to practice in all Kansas courts, including the U.S. District Court of Kansas. She is a member of the Riley County, Kansas, and American Bar Associations. She has published articles in National Jurist, Urban Lawyer, and Kansas Government Journal.

Katie serves on the Catholic Charities Advisory Board, and she is a sustaining member of the Junior League of the Flint Hills.

Katie is married to Chad Jackson, who works for NISTAC. They have three children.
